Today the TCKT was awarded second place in the Upper Austrian Innovation Award in the category “research institutions”. We are thus in the best company with SCCH and FH OÖ F&E GmbH and are very pleased, also together with our parent company, which won first place. The TCKT was awarded for its sustainable activities: With the LUFFI project, we have been able to show that carbon fibre waste can be turned into composites again that definitely meet the requirements for aircraft interiors. We hope that we will be able to push the project further with suitable company partners in order to give carbon fibre waste another life cycle, which will improve its energy balance even more.
