This week, the leading conference for plastics recycling took place in Vienna. For the 13th time, stakeholders from the recycling industry, e.g. machine producers, recyclers, NGO, European representatives and plastics processors, met to discuss the topics of circular economy, input material streams, recyclate quality and eco-design. TCKT was represented to gain insight into the legal framework, but also to identify future trends. The main outcome was that cooperation over the whole industry – from raw material producers via recyclers towards end consumers – is imperative to establish a successful plastics circular economy. In addition we identified a lot of technical issues that are already in the scope of TCKT’s research, which is how we are contributing our part to circular economy.
