A sunny Stockholm welcomed this week participants from all over Europe for the 54th Nordic Polymer Days, a platform for young polymer scientists to present their work and meet with experts in the field. This conference is held in a different Nordic region every year and comprises a variety of topics within the polymer technology. The TCKT was represented by Blanca Maria Lekube with a talk titled „The Influence of Reprocessing on the Properties of Bioplastic Materials“.
A hot topic this year was the synthesis of biobased materials as well as their modification. Besides that, and for the first time in this conference, an innovative session about teaching and learning was held, in which creative teaching tools as well as the importance of including the concept of sustainability in university studies were discussed.
The quality of the conference was as high as expected. We are looking forward to next year's edition in Copenhagen!
