In the beginning of May our old compounder was released from duty after more than 15 years, and a new compounding line started running in TCKT. It's a 24 mm twinscrew extruder with high temperature option up to 450 °C (Thermo Scientific). The screw has a modular design and can be adapted to the requirements of the individual tasks with our know-how for blends, fillers and fibre reinforcements. Two sidefeeders, a liquid pump and a vacuum degassing are also integrated. The formulations are fed exactly via six gravimetric units.
We are delighted that with this invest we are at the state of the art again and we look forward to new compounding tasks.
