This year two parallel classes of the Europagymnasium Baumgartenberg (fourteen pupils in total) got to know the practical work regarding extrusion, blown film and flat film extrusion and different characterizations at the Transfercenter für Kunststofftechnik within their plastics technology project. The pupils were brought closer by an exciting theoretical part, how plastic products that affect us in everyday life, are produced.
The students were then able to participate in the thermal analysis and mechanical tests themselves. Not only the MFR and IR measurements were interesting, but also the tensile test inspired the pupils.
We at TCKT are definitely looking forward to the next plastics technology project with the Europagymnasium Baumgartenberg.
