In September, the TCKT visited the Hungarian bio-based polymer and biocomposite conference, which took place in Balatonfüred at the beautiful Lake Balaton this year. About 200 researchers from all over Europe presented their newest developments in the field of biopolymers and had motivated discussions about the different strategies. The TCKT travelled with not less than three scientist to visit the conference and to take part in the scientific program: Blanca Lekube was giving a talk about “Polylactid acid and flax fiber based partially compacted fleece composites” and was also chairing the session Biopolymer IV. The other presentations were given by Martina Prambauer with the topic “Study on the processability of paper fiber reinforced polypropylene composites” and Christoph Burgstaller (“Investigations on cherry pit particle polypropylene composites”), which was also responsible for the poster rating as a poster juror.
Once again, we were enjoying the heartily Hungarian hospitality, as well as the high quality of the scientific lectures at the conference and we are looking forwards to its fifth edition in 2020!
