Recycling and sustainability are important topics in today's world for reasons of environmental protection, but also the availability of raw materials. Plastics are often part of the solution here, as they require less energy and material than other materials for comparable functions, both in production and in use. However, the mechanical recycling of materials is still an area where there is potential for improvement. Christoph Burgstaller presented an overview of TCKT's various recycling projects on this topic to show that plastic waste can be turned back into high-quality recyclates for useful applications.
